We're Home!!!

Well we made it home. Everyone is doing well. Our luggage finally came home 24hrs later. It decided to spend the night it D.C. and do a little site seeing. We're happy it's back. Eyob is doing great. He LOVES his brother and sisters. He seems genuinely happy to be here. Ethiopia was exciting but emotionally and physically exhausting. It was definately a trip of a lifetime. I've learned so much about my son by experiencing his culture, like why he forgets to use his fork or dry his hands after he washes them. He is learning American ways very quickly though. My little guy, who was very good about bathing and brushing his teeth at the hotel, spent tonight "swimming" in the bathtub and eating the bubble gum flavored toothpaste off his toothbrush. I have never seen anyone so excited about getting a bath. Hopefully soon I will post a more detailed account of our trip. A special thanks to all our "travel buddies". I would have never survived the trip without you. Each of you have touched our lives greatly and we will never forget you.

It's SOOOO great to hear that you guys are doing so well and that Eyob is settling in so well! I truly miss you guys so much. It's such a strange thing to form such incredible bonds and then say goodbye so suddenly. I would love to see everyone again! Thanks for letting us know how you're doing! We'll definitely keep in touch often!

Nanny and Poppy are thrilled to see pictures of our new grandson. At least now the nietos ane the nietas are evenly matched. We are viewing this perhaps a little later than others because of how hectic the last few weeks have been. Nothing that I could mention in a public blog like this. We are thrilled for all of you and are eagerly looking forward to seeing all of you for the July 4th weekend. We have our tickets. Now all we need is good health, smooth flying and no traffic getting to JFK airport. (Poppy hates small planes, so we are coming on JetBlue) Love from the two of us to all seven of you.
