Let me start by saying thanks to everyone for all the moral support and prayers over the last year. I still have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that this took less than 12 months start to finish. God truly works in miraculous ways. As I sit here trying to write this, our last pre little E entry, I know how tired I am mentally and physically at this point in time. This week has really been long, yet crazy...notice the absence of blog entries.
Ella and I went shopping tonight to ensure that kids staying home and my in-laws won't suffer the old Mother Hubbard syndrome while we are away. Though Ella seemed to dawdle a little in the store, I couldn't get out of there fast enough tonight. It seemed as if everything about the store was moving in slow motion. After getting home and unpacking the food it was back to work for me for a little while. Since I traveled to Chicago yesterday for work today was a little busier than normal for a friday. I thank God that a clear mind enabled me to finish up a few last minute things before I shut it down for the next week or so. I won't mind keeping it throttled back for a few more weeks once we return.
It was good to get home and finish packing my carry on bag, which actually contains most of the stuff that I'll be taking along on the trip. Between Toni, little E's things and all the donations, thanks again everyone, there wasn't a whole lot of room for my things. We've repacked and reweighed our suitcases a few last times to ensure there aren't any unexpected airline fees associated with bags over 50 pounds. Everything is packed and ready to be loaded into the car in the AM. Just for good measure we'll be running around in the AM to Tae Kwon Do, Dance and Tee Ball.
Please keep praying for us, Little E, all of Little E's new siblings, and of course my great in-laws ,Gary and Sheila, who will be home watching and caring for the rest of the brood.
